The word Doula is derived from Ancient Greek meaning 'woman-servant' or 'a woman who serves'.
Postpartum Doula's are employed by family's to provide evidenced-based, non-judgmental support and baby care, such as: infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, parent-baby bonding, infant soothing, and basic newborn care.

"Valori recently worked with my husband and I as a postpartum doula and lactation specialist following the birth of our first child, who arrived 3 weeks early. Valori’s knowledge, patience, sensitivity, and respect for our family as a whole truly sets her apart. She has a realness and connectivity about her that is so grounding, especially at a time when we were at our most vulnerable and emotional state as first time parents following a high-risk pregnancy.
